Before- and after-school care is available at Grace for students in junior Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Extended care is open in the morning starting at 7 a.m. There is a per family fee that can be paid on a daily basis or at a discounted rate for 10 mornings.
Afternoon extended care is open from the end of the school day until 6 p.m. Fees are per child and can be paid either on an hourly or monthly basis.
Junior and senior kindergarten students can be at Grace all day. They attend morning kindergarten and the optional afternoon kindergarten program and then move to the nearby extended care room at 3pm. The school day for these JK and SK students includes time for lunch, free play, and just relaxing, as well as organized learning activities.
After-school enrichment classes
From “Comedy Improv Workshop” to “LIghts, Camera, Star Wars,” after-school enrichment classes are fun for students at all levels. Children can learn more about favorite subjects (“Math Games”), try something new, hone athletic skills, or create works of art. Classes are offered in four- and eight-week sessions. Here's a sample of classes available in winter of 2018.
Grace Vikings sports teams are open to all students at the appropriate grade levels. Teams compete against other Lutheran schools in cross country, volleyball, basketball, and track and field in after-school games and weekend tournaments and meets. Grace athletes often qualify to compete at Lutheran Sports Association state tournaments. Teams are coached by Grace faculty and staff members and other qualified individuals.
Cross Country. Boys and girls in grades 3–8 race on Grace’s cross country team in fall.
Volleyball. Boys and girls play on a coed team in grades 5–6 and on separate teams in grades 7–8.
Basketball includes separate teams for boys and girls at both the 5–6 and 7–8 grade levels.
Track and field. Students in grades 3–8 compete at track meets in the spring.
