Admission Process and Policies

Admission Criteria
Grace Lutheran School strives to foster a diverse community for families who wish to partner with the school to fulfill its mission. All applicants should be the appropriate age for the grade level to which they are applying, be able to thrive in the school's environment, and be prepared to follow our challenging curriculum.

Open House Events
Parents and children interested in enrolling in Grace School are invited to meet teachers and tour the facility in February of each school year. Contact Grace for more information.

Parent Interview/Tour
Parents of prospective students should contact Grace School and schedule a tour and interview. You will have an opportunity to view the facility, including the classrooms where you will meet members of the faculty and staff and learn about the curriculum. These tours are intended for adults only. The tour/interview will last approximately 45 minutes.  Admissions materials, including an application form, will be provided at this time.

Application Form
Please return your child's fully completed application form with the $50 application fee. We begin accepting applications one year prior to the fall a child would enroll.

Student Visit and Assessment
Applicants for first grade through eighth grade will be asked to visit Grace for an informal admissions assessment.  Copies of transcripts from the last two school years and the current year are required for applicants to second through eighth grades. We would also like to receive copies of any standardized test scores.

Record Release Form and Recommendation Forms
Submit the confidential Record Release Form and Teacher and Principal Report forms to your child's current school. These forms should be returned directly to Grace School. They are not required at the time you submit your application; however we require that all transcripts and test scores be submitted before a child is accepted. The forms for each grade level can be found here on the web site.
