The Book of Acts, presented by Ray Pickett, Professor of New Testament at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. This course will explore how Luke continues the story of Jesus by telling the story of the formation of a people who continue his mission in the power of the Spirit. The primary focus will be on the pattern of life of the earliest community of Jesus’ followers as they bear witness to the resurrection of Jesus. (Third of three classes.)
Faith Perspectives Follow-Up: Taking Action as a Congregation. Learn from representatives of two local Catholic parishes' Peace with Justice committees about their efforts to support and minister to immigrants and detainees.
