In our world today, many of us are feeling the pain of division. It seems that discussions turn into arguments as we see people divided into different sides, often along the lines of religious and political affiliations. Do you feel stuck in the argument, looking for a clear path forward?
In this “Untying Knots” workshop, led by social worker Mike McGillicuddy, you’ll have an opportunity to learn what to do about these conflicts and divisions:
- Learn about the sociology and psychology of polarization.
- Explore how to move past polarization to meaningful dialogue that builds relationships with others and increases understanding.
- Practice skills for better listening and more meaningful conversations.
- Explore how our spiritual traditions can support us in this work.
There is no charge for the workshop. All are welcome! Lunch will be served. There will be a freewill offering to cover the cost of lunch.
Sign up for the workshop online or call the church at 708-366-6900.
This program is presented by the Faith Perspectives Committee of Grace Lutheran Church.
