Christmas Eve, December 24
Lessons and Carols, led by the children
4:15 and 6:00 p.m.
The traditional Children’s Christmas Eve services at Grace begin with a candlelight procession. As the children enter the darkened church singing carols, they form a cross in the chancel. When the church lights come back on, we hear lessons and carols that tell the story of Christ's birth. The congregation joins the children in singing Christmas hymns, ending with “Silent Night. The church opens at 3pm for seating for the 4:15 service. Seating for the 6pm service begins at approximately 5:30.
Holy Communion at 8 p.m.
Candlelight Holy Communion at 10:45 p.m.
Music begins at 10:30. The service concludes with "Silent Night" sung by candlelight.
