Social Ministry Committee

Our intention is to awareness about people and organizations in need and offers opportunities for Grace members to support them through fundraising drives. This includes providing meals to the homeless, food drives, a school supply drive, creating Welcome Kits for foster care children, a Christmas gift drive, the Adopt-a-stocking project with the Night Ministry, and a collection of mittens, gloves and winter hats.

Current Collection
Grace’s Social Ministry Committee is partnering with Friends of the Children, a mentoring program for children in the Chicago area, to put together 25 Rise and Shine Kits. Each hygiene kit will include a bar of soap, full-sized body wash, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, and alcohol-free mouthwash along with a toothbrush and a washcloth. The kits will be distributed to many of the children in the program, who range in age from kindergartners to teenagers and come from neighborhoods heavily impacted by poverty and violence.
