Our weekly service features traditional liturgies as we proclaim God’s Word and celebrate the sacraments. Music includes congregation singing led by our organ and choirs. We use prayers and readings to express our identity as the people of God and celebrate our unity with Christians across the ages. For communion, we welcome all baptized Christians to the table where Christ is host.

Children in Worship
Children of all ages are welcome at our worship services. We understand that small children need to wiggle and whisper and that happy babies sometimes make happy sounds. If you need to leave the service with a restless child, you’ll find comfortable places to sit and room for toddlers to roam in the church’s Atrium, where adults can still hear the service over the sound system. You can also go in the church library where you’ll find many books for all ages. Activity bags with books, crayons, and coloring sheets for children are available in the back of church. During worship, there is also a children’s sermon with a message just for them. We also have a staffed nursery where children will find toys and activities for them while their parents attend worship.
Music at Grace
Music is the heartbeat of our worship. Rooted in the Lutheran chorale tradition and spanning centuries of sacred song, our hymnody is both ancient and new. Whether we are singing a timeless melody or a modern hymn, our voices unite to praise God and connect us to the global Church.
Worship services at Grace also include outstanding music from choirs, organ, and vocal/instrumental soloists. Cantor Michael D. Costello leads the music ministry, continuing a long-established tradition of musical excellence at Grace.
Sermons
Our weekly sermon translates the Gospel into a message for your Monday-through-Saturday life.

Baptisms
Baptism is the beginning of a child’s faith journey and life in Christian community. When families are planning to baptize a child, it is helpful if they are part of a congregation in which parents and child will regularly participate. If you are searching for a church home for your family, we encourage you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings. One of the pastors will contact you to talk about what it means to have your child baptized and the role that you and the church will have in honoring the promises made during baptism.

Weddings
Weddings are a sacred event where the couple pledge themselves to one another in the presence of God and a worshiping community. We are eager to assist you in making your wedding a grace-filled beginning to your life together in Christ. Ordinarily couples planning to be married at Grace are already a part of this community of faith; non-members are invited and encouraged to worship with us in order to better understand our faith and mission. The date will be confirmed only after speaking to one of the pastors. Generally at least six months are required between the initial marriage request and the wedding ceremony. With the exception of the season of Lent, weddings may be scheduled throughout the year. Saturday is the preferred day of the week.

Funerals
When loved ones depart this life, we gather in worship to express our mutual grief and seek comfort in the hope of the resurrection. We worship the Lord of Life, who keeps us in fellowship with the saints of every time and place. When planning a funeral or a memorial service, church members should contact the church office to make arrangements. Church members may keep funeral plans on file with the church office, if they wish. Contact one of the pastors if you’d like to pre-plan your funeral.
Memorial Garden
The Grace Memorial Garden is available for the interment of ashes of all Grace members and their immediate family members. A fee paid at the time of interment covers the cost of maintenance of the garden and the inscription of the name on the memorial wall. The church office has information about the memorial garden if you’re interested in learning more.
