Prayer of the Day
Eternal and all-merciful God, with all the angels and all the saints we laud your majesty and might. By the resurrection of your Son, show yourself to us and inspire us to follow Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

“Life in Impossible Places”
John 21:1-19
On the third Sunday of Easter Christ continues to bring life to impossible places. After a night of fishing that yielded nothing at all Jesus provided more fish than the disciples could have ever imagined. Nets stretched to overflowing. Hungry and exhausted and in need of nourishment Jesus cooks up breakfast on the beach for each of them. A meal of surprising abundance. Then, around a charcoal fire crackling with the kindling of memory and shame that burns so brightly, Jesus gives Peter the gift and miracle of forgiveness. And for us, at the end of ourselves, in need of things that we could never provide on our own, lost around our own charcoal fires, the risen Christ meets us. There in our deaths he brings
