Worship with Holy Communion: Sundays at 10 a.m.
In-person and Online
Worship Livestream Link
Our weekly service features traditional liturgies as we proclaim God’s Word and celebrate the sacraments. Music includes congregation singing led by our organ and choirs. We use prayers and readings to express our identity as the people of God and celebrate our unity with Christians across the ages. For communion, we welcome all baptized Christians to the table where Christ is host. -
Sunday Bulletin
Of all the mistakes one can make when interpreting the scriptures, there is none worse than reducing the Word of God to simple moralism. What, we ask, should we do? As if the Lord God of heaven and earth can be so easily manipulated! So has it ever been. A lawyer speaks for us today: “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” As if such things are up to us! Jesus answers not with an answer, but with a parable. Yet this parable itself has been reduced to moralism most meaningless. The lightbulb goes off: We should be like the Samaritan, not the priest or the Levite. Well, duh. Much better to ask, first, where Jesus is in this parable. And, second, to imagine what it means to be neighbors on the receiving end of blessing. Only then might we ask what we should do. Even then, it’s not an answer to the lawyer’s question. What must we do to inherit eternal life? Nothing. Nothing at all, except, it seems, to drop dead in faith.
